The Cabrillo Music Festival’s 60th season closes with a powerful and profound Festival commission: the full orchestral version of Guggenheim Fellow Jake Heggie’s INTONATIONS: Songs from the Violins of Hope, with texts by Gene Scheer, and the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra led by Cristian Măcelaru and three spectacular guest artists: mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke, violinist Benjamin Beilman, and youth violinist Thais Chernyavsky.
