Peninsula Symphony
Friday, April 8, 8 pm
Saturday, April 9, 8 pm

Don’t miss an unforgettable program that showcases the Violins of Hope in full orchestral texture. These precious instruments, recovered relics from the Holocaust, were lovingly restored by renowned Israeli violinmakers, Amnon and Avshalom Weinstein. They bring a powerful sense of renewal to a program that includes Cihat Askin’s Avinu Malkeinu, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, Op. 64 (with Cihat Askin as violin soloist), Prokofiev’s Overture on Jewish Themes, Op.34, and Bloch’s evocative Three Jewish Poems. This program is part of Violins of Hope San Francisco Bay Area presented in association with Music at Kohl Mansion, Burlingame, CA. More info at https://violinsofhopesfba.org/
