In Conversation with James Grymes, author of Violins of Hope: Violins of the Holocaust – Instruments of Hope and Liberation in Mankind’s Darkest Hour; Israeli father and son luthiers and co-founders of Violins of Hope Amnon and Avshalom Weinstein; performance by Hannah Tarley on instruments from the Violins of Hope collection.

James Grymes, acclaimed author and professor of musicology at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, breathed life into history in this chronicle of violins played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust and of the Israeli violin maker dedicated to bringing these inspirational instruments back to life. Violins of Hope won a National Jewish Book Award, has been translated into German and Japanese.
