Veretski Pass presents a concert of klezmer melodies based on the origins of the instruments beautifully restored in the Violins of Hope project. The colorful array of cultures from which Jews emerged are brought to the stage in this performance. Obereks, Mazurkas and Polkas are performed on a Polish violin, Zhoks and Horas on a Rumanian, and Kolomeykes and Kozachoks on a restored Ukrainian fiddle, all tied together with an unmistakable Jewish sound, exquisitely performed by this world-renowned klezmer trio.
